
I vividly remember walking through the Kawiti Caves. The guides had special lanterns.
“It doesn’t disturb the glow worms,” Manuwai said.
“Let’s see how bright these glow worms can glow,” one of the guides muttered.
“Click.” Off went the lanterns.
A faint sigh of excitement escaped from all the kids’ throats.
I chimed in as my neck muscles strained to lift the weight of my head.
High above me were tiny glimmering lights.
“Wow!” I thought.
